Elegy
Another movie that I liked and was surprise by it is Elegy, very good both actors: Ben Kingsley and Penelope Cruz, but the book on what it is based "The dying animal" by Philip Roth is also brilliant.
Cache, I've Loved You So Long
Lately we saw 2 French movies, both I would recommend:
Cache with my beloved Juliette Binoche. Interesting how people understood it completely differently, some as a story of personal gilt from the childhood that brings mayhem into his very secure life, but some as a guilt trip of France itself.
Good actors, very smart symbolism all the way, a lot of clever detail.
Another one is I've Loved You So Long, also good acting, but the end makes it a little too sweet.
